Chevy S-10 V-8 Conversion
WE BUILD AMERICAN PERFORMANCE
These are pictures of the Chevy S-10 350cid V-8 conversion we performed in 2002 - 2003
Looks stock, carries a big stick!

...From the drivers side

The trial fit, one of many...

...Dropping in the new Heartbeat! (actually did this nine times, phew!)

Stock spec 350 TBI truck engine

Modification mania, the carnage! (fitting of the Corvette radiator)

Building of the mill!

The process of tearing the truck apart, chassis/body modifications, engine build up and finally the installation/fitting of the V-8 took about a year for us to complete.
Properly stuffing a street driven V-8 in an S-10 is no small task. Drag race versions of this conversion are a piece of cake, however, daily drivers designed to go 100,000 miles and idle in traffic (with the A/C on) are a challenge to pull off. Everything must work in perfect orchestration: Driveability, smooth operation and dependability are a must!
This was our first attempt at this type of conversion. The hard part was tracking down just the right parts, thank goodness for the INTERNET. A big hammer is also important!
This truck belongs to my uncle. By the time the project was finished he was more than ready to take delivery. He drove this truck back to Atlanta after the conversion. More bugs had to be worked out such as a bad computer that failed to control the A/C system, but over all this project was a success.
